If the internal resistance value is 200 to 1,000 ohms (depending on the reference value), the sensor is OK. If the value is 0 ohms, there is a short circuit, and in the case of M Ohm there is an interruption.

Disconnect the negative (black) terminal from the battery. On some models, you may need to raise the front of the vehicle, and secure it safely on jack stands, to gain access to the sensor. Unplug the CKP sensor electrical connector. Unscrew the mounting bolt (s). Remove the sensor from the engine. Match the old sensor to the new one.
