Does Eternabond really work?
We have found that Eterna Bond tape does a great job stopping RV roof leaks. In the past, RV owners would try to repair minor leaks with anything from duct tape to Flex Seal to a bit of silicone. These products would stop water from leaking through into your RV temporarily but they were far from permanent solutions.

Does Eternabond stick to EPDM?
There are several methods, but I find filling a bucket with hot water and dropping the roll of tape in it for a few minutes does a great job. I wouldn’t try this with other tapes, but it works will with EternaBond®. Cleaning EPDM membrane that has been covered with ballast can be a royal pain.

What temperature can I apply EternaBond tape?

Does EternaBond work underwater?
Installation on Wet Surfaces or Underwater Sealing EternaBond® works best on a clean, dry surface but there are times when a repair needs to be made to something wet, or even under water. DoubleStick and RoofSeal Plus are the thickest versions of EternaBond®.
How do you cut EternaBond tape?
Scissors work the best for cutting it, but don’t use a pair you care about. You can clean them up with a solvent, but it’s a pain to do. It’s not absolutely required, but it helps to have a little seam roller .
How often should you seal RV roof?

How thick is eternabond roofseal tape?
The EternaBond RSW-6-50 RoofSeal tape is white with a 50 foot length and a 6 inch width. Total thickness is 35 mil. The UV stable backing on RoofSeal makes it ideal for use in sunny environments. The elongation factor is very high, which permits RoofSeal to expand or contract with changing conditions.
What’s the difference between eternabond and butyl?
What I found is that the plastic backing on EternaBond comes off the roll easier, the butyl material seems to be firmer and thicker, and the white material on top is smoother. So, yeah, it’s nicer.
