What do you learn in pre-pointe?
What is a pre-pointe assessment? A pre-pointe assessment evaluates the dancer’s readiness to commence training en pointe. The assessment considers age, training history, pointe range, foot/ankle control, intrinsic foot & calf strength, pelvic/core control, and ballet technique.
What is a pointe class?
Going en pointe is traditionally a technique for women however both men and women are welcome to learn pointe in our classes. It is where the dancer will stand on the tip of their toes in specially designed shoes. The shoes are much harder than ballet shoes.
Is Intermediate ballet hard?
Hard, it can definitely hard. I started as a beginner in an intermediate ballet class. But you learn and grow so much quicker and you can always ask for privates and think about what your ding and using the girls as inspirations.
Is Grade 6 ballet Intermediate?

How do you soften pointe shanks?
Pushing gently over the box on pointe helps the shank mold to the arch so that it will curve and conform when the foot is not on pointe. Simply wearing the shoes during exercise in class will warm and moisten the toe boxes, so that they will soften and form to the toes, becoming more comfortable with each use.
