How does LA Zoo lights work?
L.A. Zoo Lights will be using mobile ticketing during the 2021-22 show. After purchasing your tickets online at ticketmaster.com, your tickets will be emailed to you for safe keeping. Simply show your ticket at the gate on your mobile device for entry into the event.
Do you need to be vaccinated for LA Zoo Lights?
All guests 12 and older are required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of entering the Zoo. As per our Code of Conduct, we expect all our guests, staff, and volunteers to treat one another—as well as Zoo animals and wildlife—with respect and care.
How long does LA Zoo Lights take?
60-to-90 minute
L.A. Zoo Lights is a self-guided 60-to-90 minute stroll through a large area of the Zoo featuring wildlife-inspired displays, dynamic lights and projections, immersive interactive experiences, fabulous photo ops, and seasonal magic like giant glowing animals.
Can you take water bottles to LA Zoo?
You are welcome to bring your own food items if you like. Please refrain from bringing any glass, disposable straws, or alcoholic beverages.

Do you have to wear a mask at L.A. Zoo?
Face coverings are required for all guests aged 2 and older in indoor and/or enclosed public settings and businesses, including the LAIR, retail stores, Zoo Grill, restrooms, and Safari Shuttle. Those who are not fully vaccinated are recommended by the CDC to wear face coverings outdoors as well.
Is the L.A. Zoo open during Covid?
The zoo is open seven days a week with the last entry time daily at 3 p.m. Admission is $22 for adults and $17 for children between the ages of two and 12. MORE INFORMATION: Hand sanitizer stations throughout the zoo. One-way traffic pathways throughout the zoo to allow for physical distancing among guests.

In celebration of the L.A. Zoo’s 50th anniversary, kids and adults can now feed the Masai Giraffes. While supervised by staff members, you can give the world’s largest ruminant its favorite snack: leaves. There are six giraffes at the exhibit, including a newborn.
