The Speed DIAL-4 contains a subset of items from the DIAL-4 test that can be administered in approximately 20 minutes.
What is a good dial 4 score?
On the DIAL-4, percentile ranks range from 1 to 99 and compare your child’s performance with other students at their same age level. A percentile rank of 50 is average (50th percentile) and means that a student scored higher than 50 out of 100 same-aged peers in the normative sample for the assessment.

DIAL-4 provides standard deviation and percentile cutoff points by chronological age at two-month intervals for total and area scores—Motor, Concepts, Language, Self-Help, and Social Development. Percentile ranks and standard scores also are provided.

The Developmental Profile 3 (DP-3) is designed to identify developmental strengths and weaknesses early in a child’s life. Use the DP-3 to screen children for developmental delays and to investigate puzzling behaviour, respond to parental concerns or follow up on teacher observations.

Standardized administration instructions are included in the DIAL-3 manual.
What languages is the dial-3 available in?
The DIAL-3 is available in English and Spanish versions. DIAL-3 was normed in Spanish as well as English. It is not a translated test and the development of the Spanish edition is included in the manual with statistics for sample distributions for both English and Spanish.
